Taida founded a not-for-profit organisation called Chozen Foundation when she was 24 years old which provides aid and support to vulnerable and disadvantaged people living in Zimbabwe. Taida created an initiative in 2020 called Fill A Backpack for Zimbabwe. The initiative invited the Australian community to fill bags with essential items like clothes, shoes, nappies, baby supplies, school stationery, toys etc. The initiative gathered over 1500 donated items from the community. 🙌
Taida will be receiving a $3000 grant to continue the amazing work she is doing in her community. 💕 Taida is planning to film a documentary in Zimbabwe with a fellow African Australian-owned filming company. This documentary will showcase Chozen Foundations work in Zimbabwe, the beautiful communities in Zimbabwe and the stories of all the people who were helped and supported through the fill a backpack for Zimbabwe initiative.
